BLACK FRIDAY IN IBADAN

*The night of Friday 22nd day of September 2017 will never be forgotten easily by the family of Teriba of 17 Ogunyase Street, Agbowo, Ibadan , Oyo State , Nigeria as the family lost some of its members in a deadly attack. A housewife identified as Mrs Toyin Teriba and her three children were gruesomely murdered by some people suspected to be cultists.

The motive behind such inhumane act could not be established as at the time of filling this report, however a landlord in the area who pleaded anonimity stated that the murder could not be unconnected to earlier threats issued to the head of the slain family.

He further stated that the head of the family who is identified as Mr Adebola Teriba was the former Secretary to the community's vigilante group had earlier received series of threat calls which were reported to the constituted authorities but with little action from the authority.

Mrs Toyin Teriba whom our reporter garnered was the Proprietess of one Richmond Nursery and Primary School, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State arrived the house earlier on the dreadful day with her three children identified as Teriba Adebayo (8 years), Teriba Tinuke (5 years) and a 2year old Teriba Adetola and all met their waterloo in the deadly attack.

Efforts were made by our team of reporters to get further details on the killing from the Nigerian Police through her Public Relation Officer Oyo State Command, DSP Adekunle Ajisebutu who confirmed the incident and assured that all parties involved in the heinous act will be brought to justice.*
