Yoruba movie producer, Abiodun Ibitola has died + 7 things she would be remembered for

Another tragedy has struck the Nigerian movie industry, following the passing away of Abiodun Ibitola, the managing director of Remdel Optimum Communications.
The filmmaker passed away while receiving treatment at a hospital in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Here are seven things we know about the late award winning filmmaker:
Late Ibitola was the founder and a trustee of The Independent Film and Video Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria.

She won the Best Indigenous Film Producer at 2009 edition of Zulu African Film Academy Awards also known as ZAFAA, in London.

She was the Chairperson Coalition of Associations of Film and Video Distributors in Nigeria and Festival Director.

She was also the Chairperson of  Festival of Indigenous African Language Films.

The late Ibitola co-produced Yoruba movies that include "Afonja," "Owo Eje," "Ofin Ga," and "Ojo Ola."

As a graduate of Theatre Arts from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Ibitola worked at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.

She was also married to another filmmaker and Remdel Chairman, Remi Ibitola.
