Let's Talk Small About Social Media
.
There are times I visit people's profile with the aim to connect with the values they claim to offer on their 'Bio', but I get disappointed by the 'rainbow' or 'coat-of-many-colors' contents on their timelines. "Mr A is eating with 25 other people", "Mr A is traveling tomorrow with 12 other people", etc.
.

One of the factors that turns your timeline to a place of varieties of things include the activities of people who tag you in pictures, not to talk about your reactions (posts) to every national and international occurrences. It's a sorry case that we might have to brush tagged pictures aside, and load two-three pages on your timeline before we can see your posts that were meant to dish out values to others.
.
What's the koko of my talk?
The things you claim to stand for on social media should be evidently seen at least more than once on the first pages on your timelines. It's an important something. Why should I come to your timeline hoping to see (for example) latest phones that you claim to be marketing online, but I'm only seeing tons of pictures you're tagged in (sometimes you are not even in the pictures; imagine), African Cup of Nations qualifier fixtures, etc.? Don't you think I would back off with the thought that you're not really ready for business.
.
Let the things you stand for: your preachings, marketing strategies, writeups, etc, as the case may be, appear mostly on your timelines. They imprint good impressions on your audience.
.
This advise is for people who:
- Don't like rainbow contents on their timelines. As in, if you want to be selective about what appears on your timeline.
- Are u using social media to pass crucial messages to the world. Unnecessary tags will reduce your visibility to your audience.
- Are u Using social media to market their personal brand.
- Are u using social media to sell and promote their products and services.
.
.
Okay..
.
How can you control Tags on your time line? As far as Facebook is concerned;
Go to 'Settings & Privacy'.
Click on 'Tagging and Timeline'.
Click on 'Review posts friends tag you before they appear on your timeline'
Switch to 'On'.
This means whenever someone tags you on Facebook, you'll be notified, and then you can choose to allow the tag appear on your timeline or not.
.
Dazal!
Don't say I didn't talk this one... Like and Share if this was helpful.
